Rockwell Hardness Testers

These “state- of- the- art” durometers are crafted and designed to achieve the highest level of accuracy. Utilized primarily for plastics and rubbers, this series of durometers maintains an easy to use interface with numerous data manipulation features.

Durometers, like many other hardness testers, measure the depth of indentation in the material created by a given force from a standardized indentation tip. Shore A durometers utilize a 35 degree blunt cone tip, while Shore D durometers use a 30 degree sharp point.

The Phase II Durometers offer access in hard to reach areas due to the design of the test tip shank. This produces a marked advantage over flat body designs that are too big to “reach” difficult spots.
